Most Americans responding to a recent surveyy say the government should offed incentives for companies to invest inadvanced technologies. “A $50 billiohn investment in retooling factories wouldcreate 250,00o direct manufacturing jobs in the U.S., supporr an additional 725,000 indirect and generate up to $120 billion in revenue resulting from increased demand for products,” said citing a study by the , a business-labor coalition focused on job creation.
Nosbusch called for the Obam administration to double research and developmengt for manufacturing innovation to bring it backto 1970’se funding levels. “If you really want to inves t in long-term, high-quality job creation, you have to invest in he said.
