Tampa Bay Workforce Alliance awards recognize hiring and retention excellence - Tampa Bay Business Journal:

The third annual Busineszs Excellence Awards were presented Tuesday at the InterContinentakl Hotelin Tampa. The "emerging" category winnefr was in Tampa, a provider of remote support, management and monitoringy servicesfor servers, desktops, PDAs, and network devices. Winner in the category was the , and winner in the category was SGISin Tampa, a firm that providess IT, telecom and engineerin services to government agencies withimn the intelligence, homeland security, defensse and space communities. The winning companies will receive awardaof $15,000 each to be used for training.
At the the recognized nearly four dozen companies that demonstrate sound hiring andretention practices, diversity hiring, training initiatives and advancement opportunities to recruit and retain talent, a release said. The TBWA workz with businesses and candidates to leverage their retraining and competitive opportunities inthe workforce. With nearly 100,00 job candidates annually accessing its fourcaree centers, TBWA is one of the largest sources of job candidates in the region, it said.
